✒Exposition text is text that contains the writer's argument regarding a news or issue that is currently happening which conveys that the issue or news is very important.
 

✒Purpose :
  to let the reader know what the author thinks about the issue

✒The exposition text is divided into 2, namely:

    1. analytical exposition
        📃structure

• Thesis: discussion of issues to be discussed
• Argumentation: contains opinions that support the issue to be discussed, along with the view                    expert to make readers think that the issue is very important
•  Conclusion: contains the opinion that the author conveys straightforwardly and clearly

    2. Exposition horticulture
          📃structure:

• Thesis: discussion of issues to be discussed
• Argumentation: contains opinions that support the issue to be discussed, along with the views of experts to make readers think that the issue is very important
• Conclusion: contains the opinion that the author conveys in a straightforward and clear manner but influences the reader to agree with the opinion that the author conve
  

💬 Language element
1. general participants: writing that is difficult to describe physically
2. word motive: words that can touch the point of sympathy of the reader
3. technical terms: the terms used for a particular issue / discussion

Cramming is Bad

How do you study when the test is coming? Do you start preparing for the test weeks or months before the test or leave things to the last hour? If you start studying weeks or months before the test, it is great. However, if you study all the material in the last hour or minute, it is not good for you and it is called cramming.

Cramming is the situation when students stay up until morning to study before their test. This habit can lead to negative impacts for some reason. The first reason is that disruptions in the regular sleep cycle can cause temporary intellectual lapses. For most students, less sleep can make them could not focus in the class. Additionally, cramming can leave us with “something that I have seen before” in our memory. However, being able to recognize something is not the same as being able to recall it. Besides that, each person has their different sleeping time, so some of them often use a stimulant for cramming. Furthermore, that stimulant gives bad effect to its consumers.

The example stimulant is coffee. It causes many problems such as Caffeine Intoxiation Syndrome, anxiety, panic, headaches, and so on. To sum up, cramming is bad because it disturbs our regular sleep cycle which cause temporary intellectualn lapses and using stimulant for cramming gives bad effect to our health.

 

Explanation:

The example of the text above is the Analytical Exposition Text because it provides an argument that Cramming or what we often call the overnight speeding system (SKS) learning method is not good for students. In addition, the text has the same characteristics and structure as the characteristics -Characteristics and structure of the Analytical Exposition Text, namely:

Characteristic features:
    Using the Present Tense
Example: Cramming is the situation when students stay up until morning to study before their test.

    Using conjunctions.
The connecting words that we can find in the text are for example, the first reason, additionally, furthermore, and thus.

    Use evaluative words.
The evaluative words that we can find in the text are, for example, bad, great, good, and negative.

    Using causal conjunctions for example because.

Text structure:

Thesis: This habit can lead to negative impacts for some reason.

Arguments:
    Disruptions in the regular sleep cycle can cause temporary intellectual lapses.
* Not able to focus
* Just recognize, but not able to remember the material.
    Using stimulant for cramming gives bad effect to its consumers.

Conlusion:
To sum up, cramming is bad because it disturbs our regular sleep cycle which cause temporary intellectual lapses and using stimulant for cramming gives bad effect to our health.
